If you ship or receive goods, pests in a container can stop your cargo at the border. We fumigate containers and their contents to meet international standards, so your shipment moves without costly delays.
Containers are the standard way to move bulk commodities, wood, packaging and goods around the world, and many countries require them to be treated against pests before they arrive. Container fumigation treats either the cargo inside the container or the container itself, removing the risk of pests crossing a border and the risk of your shipment being held, rejected or sent back.
Meet the entry requirements of your destination country so goods are not held or returned.
Stop pests arriving in imported goods from establishing themselves locally.
Documented, recognised treatment that satisfies customs and quarantine authorities.
Wood packaging used in international trade often needs to meet the ISPM 15 standard. We can treat and document your wood packaging so it complies.
Container fumigation is tightly regulated. We work to the relevant South African and international requirements, follow the fumigant manufacturer guidance, and complete a full risk assessment before any treatment begins.
Throughout the treatment we use calibrated gas monitoring to confirm the correct concentration is reached and held, and leak detection to keep the area safe. After treatment, the container is fully aerated and only released once gas readings are confirmed at safe levels. We do not offer fumigation in transit, as that practice is not permitted.
